The school was nominated for the Crabbies National Rugby Award School of the Year.

It was the only state school nominated in this prestigious award and on winning this award can now celebrate that we are officially rugby school of the year.

This award goes to all staff, parents and players over the years and today that have given so much to the sport. This school really is a special place and to be recognised on a national level is a great honour.

As budgets get cut and sports get hit this is a real reminder to the importance of sport and in particular rugby at the John Fisher School.
