On Saturday, March 1st, PJF travelled to O Cats for a league encounter. Cats, currently standing at the top of the Surrey Counties 2 leagueprovided a stern test for PJF. Although PJF led for most of the game, the second half saw a few decisions go against PJF which allowed Cats to pressurise the PJF line, it was in the last 10 minutes that Cats managed to snatch the winning score that gave Cats a 24-20 win and PJF came away with only a losing bonus point which really did not represent good value for their endeavours having put in, what was arguably, their best performance of the season.
The evening before the U12s took to the field against Sutton and Epsom in the Waterfall Cup at the Pightle under lights. A devestating display saw PJF wrap the game up in the first half having gone into a 6 try to nil lead. Sportingly, Sutton and Epsom played on and managed some success of their own by scoring three unanswered tries in the second half. On the Sunday PJF U12s took to the field again in their final Waterfall Cup game before the finals. This time their oppponents were Dorking, who faired little better than Sutton and Epsom. The final score being 6 tries to 3 to PJF. The U12s progress into the finl of their competition with their opponents likely to be Effingham and Leatherhead. The finals will be held at Camberly RFC.
