After the disappointment of Saturday when O Wimbledonians refused to play because they thought the ground was too hard leaving a club house full of past players, who had attended the end of season lunch, fuming. Despite the ground taking a stud and the referee happy for the game to go ahead O Wimbledonians baled thereby making this the only game in London and the SE that was cancelled because of hard ground. Surrey have since awarded us a walk over and the league points. We can speculate as to why they refused to play but that won't do us any good. All I can do is pass on my apologies for the fiasco and asure you that I have written to Wimbledonians to express our disappointment at their behaviour.
Now on to the good news. Over the weekend, the U9s and U12s went on tour to Bognor to take part in the Tigers challenge run by Leicester Tigers. Both sides acquitted themselves admirably with the U12s building on their success in the Waterfall Cup in March to win their group at the tournament. So well done all the young lads for their efforts, and thank you to the coaches and parents who helped make the tour such a success. I understand a great time was had by all.
