On Friday 17th May 2019, we are holding our second 'Sports Gala Dinner' at the Surrey Nationals golf course to help raise vital funds to continue our outstanding sporting provision at The John Fisher School. We are delighted to announce that we welcome back Roger Dakin as our M.C. for the night, with many people commenting on how funny and direct he was last time. The night will be finished off by DJ Philly who can boost having been booked by Naomi Campbell, Jonny Depp and Nicole Kidman to name but a few.
The night, sponsored by Jemca, Croydon: Toyota and Lexus, will see many of our famous sporting alumni return to share stories of their careers to date. Since our first dinner in 2017, many have progressed onto international honours and even greater success. For those rugby fans, we welcome back Kieran Treadwell (Ireland and Ulster RFC), Alex Dombrandt (Harlequins RFC) and George Skivington (Former Saracens, Wasps and Leicester legend, now coaching at London Irish) to name a few. However, with Martyn Rooney (GB Olympian), Oscar Borg (Aston Villa FC) and Tim Murtagh (Ireland and Middlesex CCC) also joining us, there is something for everyone. With more names being added, as well as a very special guest to announce, there will be no shortage of sporting legends on hand.
Our special guest for the evening is a true sporting legend and one we are sure will suit the ethos of the night; Andy Goode. He has over 3,000 points to his name in a career which stretched over 18 years and 400 games. He represented England 17 times and is the second highest points scorer in premiership history. His insight into the modern game will be fascinating and we expect some exciting anecdotes from his many years in top flight rugby.
The night will be full of fun, laughter and opportunities to bid on some wonderful auction items. Tables are limited and will be sure to sell out fast so please do book yours soon. Tables are £700 (10 people per table) or £75 per ticket.
